I know this looks like some kind of montage like you sometimes see in tourist leaflets, but this really was the view just as the camera saw it.
This is a beautifully maintained botanical garden devoted to alpine plants from many different parts of the world, planted between and around two large rocky summits. All the plants are labelled. The bird perching on the rock (upper L) is an alpine chough (Coracia gracula).
